Community College Sustainability Resources

Tonight a list of some resources that may be helpful to you in developing your college’s sustainability effort:

The Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education A great organization that charges dues based upon the size of your college, although there are a number of free resources on the site, membership as they say has its privileges.

The Green Schools Listserve, is a great resource, postings are populated by a large number of campus sustainability officers from around the country.  Although a lot of the discussion is centered on four-year campuses, there is a lot of good information we can use at our community colleges.

The Sustainablity Education and Economic Development (SEED) describes itself as A FREE initiative of the American Association of Community Colleges and ecoAmerica, the Sustainability Education and Economic Development (SEED) Center aims to advance sustainability and green workforce development practices at community colleges by sharing innovative models and resources and building the capacity of college administrators, faculty, and staff to contribute as leaders.  Their site has some great resources and is definitely worth a look as it is focused on Community Colleges.

The Journal of Sustainability Education is a nice resource for a list of articles on a range of sustainability topics.
